Director of Catering, Weddings and Special Events
Libby Rutty is the Connecticut Shoreline’s wedding planner extraordinaire. She brings over three decades of expertise in wedding and special events planning to the Madison Beach Hotel team.
During Libby’s prolific career, she has acted in a multitude of positions including catering manager, events director and head pastry chef. It goes without saying, with her in-depth, dynamic experience, Libby is well-versed in all things weddings and celebratory events
Libby has planned and executed hundreds of spectacular events on the shoreline of Connecticut. In fact, in 2014 she was recognized by the Connecticut Lodging Association as Outstanding Associate of the Year at the Annual Stars of the Industry Awards.
Classically trained at the Notre Dame Culinary School in Jerusalem and the Cordon Bleu in France, Mo Jalil has been honing his craft for nearly forty years. His creative fusion of international cuisines is the result of a career that spans Asian, Europe, Africa and the United States. From the Five-Star American Colony Hotel in Jerusalem, to the Maxwell House in New York, to the Connecticut Shoreline, Mo has worked and trained with the best. Before joining the Madison Beach Hotel as Banquet Chef, he served as Executive Production Chef for Connecticut’s leading catering company. Mo’s cuisine is recognized not only for flavor, but also for creative presentation.
